There are two options for applying to UAlbany, choose one
 

Apply with the Common Application

The Common Application allows you apply to over 500 participating colleges with one application.

Apply with the SUNY Application

The SUNY Application allows you apply to multiple SUNY colleges with one application.


Rolling Admission

Decision notification is rolling for complete transfer applicants. Late applicants will be considered on a space-available basis.


Admission Criteria

2.5 GPA for most programs, except:

  • Accounting: 3.0 GPA
  • Business Administration: 3.0 GPA
  • Criminal Justice: 3.2 GPA
  • Digital Forensics: 3.0 GPA
  • Financial Market Regulation: 3.2 GPA
  • Human Development: 3.0 GPA
  • Social Welfare: 3.0 GPA


Required Documents

Whichever application you choose, you’ll need to submit the following documents: 

Official transcript(s) of all college-level work

Official transcripts for all work taken at any college or university must be submitted, regardless of whether you expect to receive transfer credit. Transcript(s) can be sent directly to:

UAlbany also participates in e-transcripts. If you’ve completed college-level work at a participating e-transcript institution, you may request to have your official transcript sent electronically from your institution directly to UAlbany.  

Note: If you've completed fewer than 24 transferable college credits, you'll also need to submit an official high school transcript. All enrolled transfer students will need to supply an official final high school transcript with graduation date or the equivalent before the start of classes. 

Application Fee

The non-refundable application fee is $50. Submit your fee with your application or request a fee waiver through SUNY

Note: EOP applicants are not required to pay the application fee.
